Company

Digitising the physical world.

Bluebird AI builds its own sensing estate rather than integrating someone else’s — airframes, cameras and edge gateways on one proprietary platform, with the intelligence running on the device instead of in a datacentre somewhere else. Founded in 2024, manufacturing in San Jose, California and Bangalore, India.

What we believe

Insight should be gained exactly where the event unfolds

A camera that ships video to a cloud has already lost the argument — it has added latency, cost and a privacy problem to a decision that needed none of them. Bluebird runs detection in the camera housing and cognition at the gateway, so what crosses the network is an understood event, not footage waiting to be searched.

Why one platform

Four problems, one estate

Security, business intelligence, aerial logistics and mission-critical response normally mean four vendors, four installations and four sets of data that disagree with each other. They are not four problems. They are one sensing problem pointed in four directions. Because Bluebird builds all of it — the airframes, the cameras, the gateway and the software — those four answers finally agree.

Responsibility

Privacy built into the architecture, not bolted on as policy.

01

Video stays on site

Inference runs in the camera and at the gateway. Footage does not leave the premises by default — there is nothing in a cloud to breach.

02

No facial recognition required

People are attributed by movement and appearance. Tracking works across cameras without identifying anyone.

03

You own the data

The estate is yours, the recordings are yours, and the platform runs whether or not it can reach us.

Where we build

Global locations, supporting customers worldwide.

San Ramon, California

Headquarters. Design, engineering and US assembly across the Bay Area, in San Ramon and San Jose. Country-of-origin matters to government and critical-infrastructure buyers, and building here is the answer to it.

Bangalore, India

Manufacturing and AI engineering. Scale capacity and a second source for the same hardware, so supply is not a single point of failure.
